Beverly Erdman

Beverly Ann Erdman was born on February 7, 1952 in Benson a daughter of Carl and Olive (Halls) Dokken. She grew up and was educated in Benson. After graduating from Benson High School, Beverly continued her education at the Mankato Beauty Institute. She was united in Marriage on January 12, 1973 in Benson to Wendell Erdman. The couple made their home in rural Starbuck. Beverly worked nearly 30 years in the housekeeping department of the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck.




Beverly was a very active member of East Zion Lutheran Church. She served as custodian for 22 years; taught Sunday school; served on the Worship Committee and Church Council. Beverly enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting casinos. She always had beautiful flowers and was always starting a new project inside and out. Some of her favorite activities were camping, motorcycling with her family and attending NASCAR races. Beverly loved to travel anywhere, go shopping and take walks, often with Sydney the black lab. Above all she cherished any time she could spend with family and friends.




Beverly died on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood having lived to reach the age of 56 years.




She is survived by her husband: Wendell of Starbuck; daughter: Amy Erdman and special friend Randy Lange of Hutchinson; sons: Ryan (Sarah) Erdman of Savage, Josh (Diane) Erdman of Shakopee; sisters: Clarice Larson of Kerkhoven, Marion Bommersbach of Kindred, ND, Arlene (DeWayne) Danielson of Glenwood, Linda (Glen) Rood of Sunburg; brothers: Luverne (Delores) Dokken of Sunburg, Clinton (Margaret) Dokken of New London, Wendell Dokken of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents: Carl and Olive Dokken; brothers-in-law: Ervin Larson and Boomer Bommersbach.




Pallbearers for the service are: Dean Larson, Dan Larson, Dale Larson, Doug Larson, Bryan Danielson, Brad Danielson, Kevin Dokken, Scott Dokken, Chad Goldenstein and Kelly Danielson. Honorary pallbearers are all of Beverly’s family and bingo friends. Monica Gosseling will serve as organist. Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
