Carrie Marlow

Carrie Lynn Larson, daughter of James and Jacqueline (Wachter) Larson, was born December 13, 1976 in Appleton, Minnesota. She was baptized in January, 1977 at Christ's Lutheran Church in Apple Valley and confirmed in 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Mary Feistner in Alberta. She grew up in Chokio and received her schooling at Chokio-Alberta, where she graduated from High School in 1995. Carrie continued her education at NDSU in Fargo, North Dakota and graduated in 2000. Following her schooling, Carrie went to work at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris. On May 22, 1999, she was united in marriage to Matthew Marlow at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chokio by Father Jerome Nordick. Matt and Carrie have made their home in Everglade Township in Stevens County, Minnesota where they raised their daughter, Chloe and anticipated the arrival of their daughter.

Carrie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Alberta, where she belonged to the WELCA group. Carrie enjoyed caring for her cats and dogs and taking pictures of the outdoors and Chloe. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends.

Carrie and her infant daughter died on Saturday, July 30, 2005, in Baker Township in Stevens County, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Carrie lived to reach the age of 28 years.

She is survived by her husband: Matthew Marlow of Chokio; one daughter: Chloe Jacqueline Marlow of Chokio; her father: James Larson of Chokio; two sisters: Sarah Anne Larson of Morris and Kristin Lee Larson of Moorhead; maternal grandparents: Norman and Gladys Wachter of Apple Valley and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother: Jacqueline Ann Larson and her paternal grandparents: Harvey and Anne Larson.

Pallbearers for the service are: Gary Wachter, Keith Anderson, Kyle Anderson, Mark Gibson, Kurt Staples and Dave Hoglund. Joanne Foley will serve as organist for the service with Greg and Steve Wachter serving as soloists. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
