Dennis Kittelson

March 14, 1947 — May 21, 2007

Dennis Orien Kittelson, son of Orval and Laura (Hein) Kittelson, was born March 14, 1947 in Appleton, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm outside of Louisburg, Minnesota. He attended and graduated from Appleton High School in 1965. Dennis continued his education at the Willmar Technical College for two years in the Electronics Program. In 1967, he married JoAnne Christienson. The couple was married for 15 years and was blessed with three children. Following his schooling, he moved to St. Louis Park, where he worked for Honeywell. He later transferred to Houston, Texas, where he continued to work for Honeywell for the next three years. He returned to Minneapolis for a while, before moving back to the family farm to work with his father. He then went back to school for the next two years at the Willmar Technical College for Insurance Adjusting. Following his schooling, he moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota, where he worked as an Insurance Adjuster until 2001, when he moved to Lowry. He has continued to live in Lowry until the time of his death. Dennis enjoyed reading, planting trees, walking and being in the outdoors.





Dennis died on Monday, May 21, 2007 at St. Benedicts Hospice Home in St. Cloud, MN, having lived to reach the age of 60 years.





He is survived by his three children: Mark (Lyndsey) Kittelson of Glenwood, Rod (Andrea) Kittelson of Glenwood and Diane Kittelson (Scott Cardin) of Starbuck; his mother: Laura Kittelson of Starbuck; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father: Orval Kittelson and two brothers: Ronald and Gerald Kittelson. Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
