Fern Brown

Fern Evelyn Brugman, daughter of John and Jean (Tate) Brugman, was born September 15, 1916 in Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Morris High School. On June 17, 1935, she was united in marriage to Leslie Brown in Sisseton, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Morris. Leslie died on January 1, 1971. Fern has continued to live in Morris since that time. She was a member of Federated Church in Morris and an active member of the Morris Eagles Auxiliary.

Fern died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at West Wind Village in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 92 years.

She is survived by one brother: Lyal Brugman of Great Falls, MT and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters: Dawn Carver and Grace Collins and two brothers: George and Ray Brugman.

Pallbearers for the service is are: Gary Collins, Tony Brugman, Gary Raasch, Richard Raasch, Ronald Raasch and Donald Raasch. Cheryl Rempel will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
