. Ida worked on the farm and was a homemaker. She loved to bake, knit, gardening and tending to her flowers. Ray died on November 16, 1985 and Ida remained on the farm until the time of her death. Ida was a member of
St. John’s
Lutheran
Church
in Donnelly, where she served many years on the women’s service group.
Ida died on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at her home in
El Dorado
Township
in Stevens County, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 78 years.
She is survived by one son: Lloyd Bendt (special friend: Trish Hulteen) of Donnelly; one grandson: Troy Bendt of Waseca; five great-grandchildren: Charissa, Nick, Dustin, Kyle and Kole; one great-great-granddaughter: Dakota; one brother: Stanley (Anna) Christians of Minneapolis and one sister: Edna Mae Schipper of
South Dakota
. She was preceded in death by her husband: Ray Johnson, Jr; one granddaughter: Angie Logsdon; her parents; two brothers: Edward and Richard Christians and one sister: Mildred Schipper.
Peggy Wilke will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
