Jack Koplin

Jack Allen Koplin, son of Elsie Koplin Fletcher and step-son of Clarence Fletcher, was born September 13, 1928 in Vergas, Minnesota, where he grew up and received his schooling. In 1945, Jack moved to Morris, MN, where he worked at Morris Bearing and National T. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1950, where he served until 1953. Jack returned to Morris and on August 18, 1953, he was united in marriage to Dolores Ann Sauter at Assumption Catholic Church by Father Zeilger. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Morris, where they raised their daughters and Jack worked for Juergenson?s Super Value for 28 years. In 1981, he went to work for Kleespie Tank until his retirement. Following his retirement, Jack and Dolores enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with their children and grandchildren.

Jack was a member of the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, the Morris American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, golfing and working outdoors.

Jack died on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at West Wind Village in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 79 years.

He is survived by his wife: Dolores Koplin of Morris; three daughters: Pam (Scott) Berry of Aberdeen, SD, Pat (Kirby) Wilcox of Alexandria and Paula (Tony) Keelin of Fargo, ND; six grandchildren: T.J., Christina, Andrew and Robert Berry of Aberdeen, SD and Olivia and Sophie Keelin of Fargo, ND. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father.

Pallbearers for the service are: Bob Kleespie, Bob Griffith, Rollie Henrichs, Scott Henrichs, Don Eich and Joe McNally. Josh Fischer will serve as pianist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
