Joyce Beyer

Joyce Marie Kenyon was born on November 29, 1941 in Graceville to Edmond and Wilma (Graham) Kenyon. She graduated from Morris High School in 1959. Joyce was united in marriage to Dale Beyer on October 2, 1959 at Peace Lutheran Church, now known as Faith Lutheran. The couple first made their home in Morris. Their union was blessed with four children. In 1965 the family moved to Johnson until 1976 when they moved back to Morris. In 1992 Joyce and Dale moved to Donnelly, where they have lived since.

Joyce was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Morris. She always planted a large garden and enjoyed bowling and needle work. Joyce loved the outdoors and would often go fishing and hunting with Dale. She was also an avid Minnesota Twins and NASCAR fan.

Joyce died on Friday, November 4, 2005 at Fairview - University Medical Center in Minneapolis, having lived to reach the age of 63 years.

She is survived by: husband: Dale Beyer of Donnelly; son: Timothy (Jean) Beyer of Rogers; daughters: Melanie (Alan) Recker of Donnelly, Catherine (James) Wente of Benson, Wendy (Robert) Hennen of Morris; eight grandchildren; brothers: Ronald (Cheryl) Kenyon of Alberta, Edmond (Connie) Kenyon of Hancock; sister: Arlene Kenyon of Maplewood; and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers for the service are Ronald Kenyon, Edmond Kenyon, Bruce Beyer, Milton Beyer, Eilert Beyer, Earl Beyer, Gladwin Beyer and Arvid Beyer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kari Recker, Johnathon Wente, Amanda Recker, Janelle Wente, Ashley Hennen, Jessica Wente, Jennifer Hennen and Robin Beyer. Rita Lambert will serve as organist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of arrangements.
