Julius Heinrich

October 11, 1917 — November 30, 2006

Julius McDonald Heinrich, son of Fred and Ann (Hickman) Heinrich, was born October 11, 1917 in Morris, Minnesota. He was baptized in Morris and was confirmed in 1931 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Donnelly by Reverend Pilgrim. He attended country school in District #56. After completing country school, he went to C.C. Camp at Gooseberry Falls. In 1936, Julius graduated from the West Central School of Agriculture. On September 2, 1941, He was united in Marriage to Lillian Waller by Reverend Svere Torgerson. From this union, three children were born. The couple bought a farm in the Donnelly area where they lived and farmed until the time of Julius's death. Julius also worked for the Great Northern Railroad, the Minnesota Highway Department and he drove a bus for the Morris School District.



Julius was a member of Kongsvinger Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Eagles Club, Donnelly Rod and Gun Club and the Kongsvinger Men's Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and raising roses and dancing with Lillian. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.



Julius passed away on November 30, 2006 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, MN, having lived to reach the age of 89 years.



He is survived by: his wife: Lillian Heinrich of Donnelly; three children: Karen Anderson of Alexandria, David (Sharon) Heinrich of Alexandria and Scott (Beth) Heinrich of Morris; seven grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one brother: Charles Heinrich of Morris; sister: Phyllis Dyer of Morris and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Frederick Heinrich.



Pallbearers for the service are: Michael Anderson, Jason Heinrich, Blake Heinrich, Mitchell Heinrich, Billy Wollin, and Ben Doege. Honorary Plallbearers for the service are: Julius's Granddaughters: Kari Doege, Amie Wollin, Jenalenae Heinrich and all of Julius's great grandchildren. Bonnie Gulbrandson will serve as organist with Kaylene Mecklenburg serving as soloist.
