Katie Anderson

August 27, 1990 — December 3, 2009

Kathryn Rose Anderson was born August 27, 1990 in Two Harbors , Minnesota and was adopted by Gary and Rose Anderson. Katie was baptized on December 23, 1990 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus , MN by Reverend John R. Smith and was confirmed on October 30, 2005 at Faith Lutheran Church by Reverend Ron Boettner. Katie’s family lived in Cyrus from 1990 to 1994, before moving to Morris, where she has continued to live. Katie attended Morris Public Schools , graduating on May 30, 2008. While Katie was still in high school, she began working at West Wind Village in Morris as a dietary aid until July of 2008, when she became a CNA and has continued to work at West Wind Village to present. On January 2, 2009, Katie continued her schooling at Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis , where she was scheduled to graduate on March 26, 2010 as a Pastry and Baking Chef.

Katie was a member and served on the Board of Directors as a youth representative for the Minnesota Deer Hunter Association for seven years. She loved hunting, especially pheasant, deer and bear. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking and painting. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends.

Katie was always full of life and you never knew what she was going to do next. She was just as naughty as she was nice and was always able to brighten your day and bring a smile to your face.

On Thursday, December 3, 2009, Katie was tragically taken from our presence, but she will continue to live on in our hearts and in our memories. She will forever be safe in God’s arms.

She is survived by her parents: Gary and Rose Anderson of Morris; grandparents: Eugene and Marie Stadick of St. Stephen and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Gary and Louise Anderson and one uncle: Thomas Clark, Sr.
