Laurie Heintzelman

Laurie Ann Heintzelman, daughter of David and Eileen (Pfab) Conlan, was born December 8, 1962 in Dubuque, Iowa, where she grew up. She graduated from Hempstead High School in 1981. She then attended and graduated from Capri Beauty College in Dubuque. She moved to Morris, Minnesota in 1985. Laurie was united in marriage to Jon Heintzelman on September 19, 1992. The couple have lived and worked in Morris since that time. Some of Laurie’s interests and hobbies were doing crafts, gardening, camping, but mostly spending time with family and friends.




Laurie died on Monday, February 23, 2009 in Morris, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 46 years.




She is survived by her husband: Jon Heintzelman of Morris; one daughter: Nycole Conlan of Morris; step-son: Josh Heintzelman of Alexandria; her mother: Eileen Morken of Dubuque, IA; father and mother-in-law: Lloyd and Helen Heintzelman of Morris; sister-in-law: Jill (Sheldon) Kutzler of Alberta; two sisters: Julie (Dave) Capesius of LaMotte, IA and Ruth (Bob) Capps of Dubuque, IA; one brother: Dave (Ann) Conlan of Belgium; grandmother: Opal Conlan of Dubuque, IA; four nieces: Briea Conlan, Brittney Capps, Sarah Conlan and Jessica Capesius; four nephews: Thad Konzen, Kenny Conlan, Kenny Capesius and Travis Capesius; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and all of her friends. She was preceded in death by her father: David E. Conlan; step-father: Donald H. Morken; brother: Paul E. Conlan; grandparents: John and Viola Pfab and grandfather: Wilson Conlan.




Pallbearers for the service are: Josh Heintzelman, Howard Rinkenberger, John Schultz, Dave Capesius, Bob Capps and Sheldon Kutzler. Honorary pallbearers are: Thad Konzen, Briea Conlan, Brittney Capps, Kenny Conlan, Sarah Conlan, Kenny Capesius, Travis Capesius and Jessica Capesius. Darlene Hennen will serve as pianist for the service with Holly Giese serving as soloist/song leader. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.




In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials in Laurie’s name.
