Lester Steuck

Lester William Steuck, son of Earl and Grace (Banister) Steuck, was born September 13, 1950 in Morris, Minnesota. He grew up in Chokio, MN, where he was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Lester received his schooling in Alberta, MN, graduating from the Chokio-Alberta High School in 1968. Lester was then drafted into the U.S. Army, but only served a few months before a knee injury forced him to take a medical discharge. At that time, he returned to Chokio, where he has worked at a variety of jobs the remainder of his life. His main periods of employment were with Thompson Insulation, Tri-County Co-op and Chokio Equity Exchange. He had also worked for a number of farmers in the Chokio area.

Lester was a very private person who enjoyed fishing and camping with his dog.

Lester died unexpectedly on October 22, 2010 at his residence in Chokio, Minnesota, having lived to reach the age of 60 years.

He is survived by his parents: Earl & Grace Steuck of Chokio; one brother: Damon Steuck of Fargo, ND; five sisters: Eda (Charles) Stein of Clinton, Marsha (Dutch) Poel of Winsted, Doreen (Don) Plocker of Morris, Michele Steuck of Winsted and Stephanie (Larry) Jensen of Howard Lake, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Royal Steuck and his grandparents.

Pallbearers for the service are Lester's Nephews: Reed Stein, Dale Stein, Eric Stein, Chris Jensen, Tim Jensen, Jason Steuck, Chad Steuck, Kevin Steuck and David Plocker. Honorary pallbearers for the service are Lester's Nieces: Bonnie Bartell and Leah Gravelle. Julene Amborn will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
