Louise Anderson

Louise Mary Ann Podtburg, daughter of John and Louise (Buntje) Podtburg, was born December 1, 1932 in Synnes Towniship in Stevens County, Minnesota. Louise grew up in Morris where she attended Morris Public Schools. On October 21, 1950, she was united in marriage to Gary L. Anderson at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Morris. Following their marriage, the couple along with their children traveled to many states, while Gary was working on constructing grain elevators. In 1959, they moved back to Minnesota, where they continued to raise their four children. Gary and Louise moved their family to Cyrus in 1964. In the early 80's to mid 90's, Louise was employed at Juergenson Super Valu in the bakery department. Gary died in February of 1999. Louise has continued to live in Cyrus until the time of her death.

Louise was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus, where she belonged to various groups. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting and making sequined Christmas ornaments. She especially enjoyed baking bread, donuts and lefse for her family

Louise died on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at her home in Cyrus, having lived to reach the age of 74 years.

She is survived by one son: Gary LeRoy (Rose) Anderson of Morris; three daughters: Susan (Pat) Radford of Cokato, Kim (Steve) Schulze of Pipestone and Patricia Clark (and the late, Thomas Clark) of Pipestone; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers: Harvey Podtburg of Morris, Lloyd (Olga) Podtburg of Princeton and Lewis (Dorothy) Podtburg of St. Paul Park; three sisters: Lorraine (Sheridan) Halbe of Morris, Viola (Arland) Sperr of Cokato and Mercida (Felix) Blaskowski of Glenwood and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother: Lester; one infant sister and son-in-law: Thomas Clark.

Pallbearers for the service are: Pat Radford Sr., Patrick Radford Jr., Thomas Clark Jr., Steven Schulze Sr., Jonathan Schulze and Paul Schulze. Honorary pallbearer for the service is Steven R. Schulze Jr. Paul Schulze will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
