Margaret Kjeldahl

September 10, 1926 — March 25, 2008

Margaret Bernice Iverson, daughter of Tollof and Anna (Neitzel) Iverson, was born September 10, 1926 in Barrett, Minnesota, where she grew up and attended country school. She graduated from Barrett High School. Following her schooling, Margaret worked for various families in the Morris area. On November 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Harold Kjeldahl in Barrett. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Cyrus, where they raised their three children. Margaret worked various jobs outside the home including, Fingerhut, A & W in Morris and was mail carrier for 22 years. After retiring, Margaret and Harold have remained in the Cyrus area.



Margaret was a past member of Scandia Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. As a current member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus, she was a Do-Days member and participated in the many church activities. Margaret was a faithful member of the cast of "Godly Women Out of History". She enjoyed snowmobiling, feeding the hummingbirds, raising flowers and submitting many projects to the county fair, where she received many blue ribbons



Margaret died on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 81 years.



She is survived by her husband: Harold Kjeldahl of Cyrus; three children: Jeanne Kjeldahl of Brooklyn Park, Kenneth (Elaine) Kjeldahl of Eagan and Joy Kjeldahl (Steve Solfest) of Bloomington; four granddaughters: Sara, Lori, Amy and Kari; four great-grandsons: Robert, Alex, Tyler and Shane; two brothers: Leslie Iverson of Winona and Alger Iverson of Morris; one sister: Louise Pionk of Big Lake and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother: Howard and sister: Marion.



Pallbearers for the service are: Richard Barsness, Peter Brandt, Joel Hanse, Steve Leitte, Karl Retzlaff and Roger Strand. Diane Hanse will serve as organist for the service with Sheryl Dahl and Joel Hanse providing special music. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
