The funeral for Millie Lesmeister of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, with Reverend Ed Jensen officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Morris.

Millie Maus, was the third child of eleven born to Emil and Augusta Maus on August 30, 1924 in Gleuk, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm near Alberta, Minnesota and graduated from Alberta High School in 1942. Millie was united in marriage to Ralph Lesmeister on April 7, 1944 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Following Ralph's deployment to the European Theater of WWII, Millie made her home in Morris and worked at the Probst Jewelry Store. Upon Ralph's return from the war in 1945, the couple continued to live in Morris, where they were partners in Ralph's Refrigeration and Heating. Millie handled all of the administrative duties of their business. Ralph died on October 3, 1996. Millie continued to live in Morris until the time of her death.

She was a member of the American Heart Association, Mission Club, and the Ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary. Millie enjoyed a good game of cards, sewing and crocheting. She always cherished her time with her children and her grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly. Millie will always hold the title "Champion Homemaker".

Millie died on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Courage Cottage in Morris, Minnesota. She was 88 years old.
She is survived by five daughters: Terry (Ed) Jensen, Boulder City, NV, Vicki (Harland) Van Duyn, Rosemount, MN, Anne (Terry) Arnold, Morris, MN, Jean Lesmeister, Engelwood, CO and Camille (Wayne) Spohr, Hancock, MN; two sons: Neal (Jill) Lesmeister, Baxter, MN and Lee (Pat) Lesmeister, Thermopolis, WY; one daughter-in-law: Peggy Lesmeister, St. Peter, MN; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Millie was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Steve and Nick and one grandson, Sam Lesmeister.

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
