Rosalie Sorenson

Rosalie Loretta Sorenson was born on November 4 ^th , 1914 in Mandt Township , Montevideo , Minnesota to her parents Olaf and Henrietta Haugen. She married Orville Sorenson of Starbuck on March 15, 1941. They were married for forty years and resided in Starbuck.

Rosalie was a lifetime member of Fron Church and worked in the Starbuck School kitchen for twenty three years, until her retirement. She was a resident of the Minnewaska Lutheran Home for the past nine years.

Rosalie is preceded in death by her husband Orville, her parents Olaf and Henrietta, three sisters; Evelyn, Margret, Harriet and brother; Orton. She is survived by three children Chandra (Jon) Forde of Shallotte, NC, Mark (Peggy) Sorenson of Brooklyn Park, MN, Jeffrey (Nannette) Sorenson of Ramsey MN, eight grandchildren; Greg Forde, Christine Forde, Cori Dane, Amanda Sorenson, Benjamin Sorenson, Katherine Sorenson, Lee Sorenson and Christopher Sorenson, four great grandchildren, and her sisters Wanda (Wayne) Fostervold of Willmar, MN, Irma Halsted of Alexandria, MN and brother Donald Haugen of Montevideo, MN.

The family would like to thank Dr. Bosl and the staff at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home for their excellent care of Rosalie. Starbuck Funeral Home in Starbuck is in charge of the arrangements.
