Shirley Grossman

September 26, 1930 — August 8, 2010

Shirley Ann Pashan, daughter of Earl and Vivian (Foster) Pashan, was born September 26, 1930 in Morris, Minnesota, where she grew up and began her schooling. Shirley later graduated from Morris High School. On June 8, 1948, she was united in marriage to Donald Peter Grossman in Morris. To this union eight children were born. Following their marriage, they lived in Chokio for 11 years, before moving to a farm south of Chokio, where they farmed and raised their children. They moved off the farm in 1969 and moved to Morris. Shirley then worked at J.C. Penney’s for several years. She then worked as a Deputy Assessor for Stevens County for 24 years, before retiring in 2004.

Shirley was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. She enjoyed taking walks, cooking, attending church and swimming. She was well known as the “Beach Bum” in the summertime. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Shirley will always be remembered for her smiles and hugs for everyone. When you met her, you loved her.
