Trudy Smith

June 4, 1951 — September 28, 2006

Trudy Hope Smith, daughter of Gordon and Fern (Sperr) Smith, was born June 4, 1951 in Morris, Minnesota. Trudy grew up in the Donnelly area, where she began her schooling. She later attended high school in Morris, where she graduated in 1969. Trudy was married to David Skrove in the mid seventies. The couple had two children: Nicole and Daryn. The family lived in Brooklyn Center then moved to Brooklyn Park. Trudy was a foster parent during the 1970's and 1980's. Family and children were very important to Trudy. In 1995, she was married to Terry Bean. Terry and Trudy raised their grandson, Tyler Forshier since he was 18 months. The couple resided in Brooklyn Park until 1999, when they moved to Donnelly. In 2005, Trudy moved to Morris, where she has resided with her grandson, until the time of her death.



Trudy was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Morris. She enjoyed reading, scrap booking, family genealogy and crocheting. She was also involved with 4-H. What was most important to Trudy was planning and taking part in numerous family celebrations and events.



Trudy died on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at her home in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 55 years.



She is survived by: six children: Nicole Skrove of Richfield, Daryn (Tina) Skrove of Minneapolis, T.J. (Sarah) Bean of Albertville, Presten (Krista) Bean of Ostego, James Bean of Fridley and Chris (Lindsey) Bean of LaCrosse, WI; nine grandchildren; her mother: Fern Smith of Morris; four brothers: Donald (Dawn) Smith of Brooklyn Park, Happy Smith of Minneapolis, Michael (Rhoda) Smith of Donnelly and Gregory Smith of Fridley. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends: Diane Amundson, Jackie Reisgies and Lorna Schmeling. She was preceded in death by her father.



In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Assoc or Fairview University Transplant Center.
