Barbara Ann Grossman, daughter of Edward and Mary (Sanchez) Myers, was born July 22, 1951 in Detroit, MI. Her family lived in Honolulu, HI until she was 12 years and then moved to Rapid City, SD. Barb met her future husband, Richard Grossman, on the Ellsworth Air Force Base where she worked and her dad was stationed. The couple was married on November 14, 1971, and welcomed their son, Jaime, the following summer. The couple moved to Moorhead, MN for Rick to finish his schooling before moving to South Dakota. Barb stayed at home and took care of Jaime until he started school, and the family moved to Morris, MN. She worked at Pamida as a sales associate until she went back to school and earned her Associates Degree in Accounting from Rasmussen College. Following her schooling, Barb went to work for Bremer Bank for 10+ years. She then started working for Riverwood Bank where she continued to work until she retired in 2017.

Barb enjoyed fishing, gardening, and planting flowers in her spare time. She was a huge Vikings fan, even though she never got to see them play in the Super Bowl, and loved attending country music festivals with her girlfriends. Her biggest joy was being able to watch her son, Jaime, grow up and become a father himself. Barb’s biggest blessing was her granddaughter, Grace, who she adored, and loved watching her play hockey.

Barb died on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at West Wind Village in Morris, MN; she was 72 years old.
