Charity Bertram

Celebration of Life Services for Charity Bertram, of Morris, will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, with Reverend Julius Miller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Monday at the Pedersen Funeral Home.

Charity Sue Gehrt was born on February 9, 1973, to Leroy and Judith (Rosener) Gehrt in Morris, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Charles Catholic Church in Herman, Minnesota. Charity attended Herman-Norcross schools and graduated in 1991.  She grew up and lived in Herman until 2000, when she moved to Fergus Falls. In the fall of 1994, Charity married Rick Bertram and they had two children: Kyla and Garrett. The couple would later separate and Charity moved to Morris. She attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College and graduated with her Associates Degree in Cosmetology and her Esthetician License.

Charity enjoyed music, singing karaoke, open water and ice fishing, and snowmobiling. She really enjoyed her job as a Cosmetologist, doing her family and friend’s hair and makeup. Her favorite pastimes were drinking coffee, singing and dancing with her grandkids.

Charity died on Friday, January 12, 2024, in Morris. She was 50 years old. 

Charity is survived by her children: Kyla Bertram (Lucas Haarstad) of Barnesville, and Garrett Bertram of Fergus Falls; three grandchildren: Layalia Bertram of Barnesville, Karter Karch of Barnesville, and Raelynn Bohndorf of Barnesville; brother, Dan Gehrt of Fergus Falls; sister, Cindy (Maximo) Ramos of Sallisaw, OK; nieces: Tasha Gehrt, Anna Ramos, Paige Strand; and nephew, Maximo Ramos. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Judith Gehrt; sister, Twylia Gehrt; niece, Mackenzie Diamante; aunt, Evelyn “Tootie” Smith; and uncles: Larry Gehrt, and Lloyd Gehrt.

The family prefers plants for Charity's service.
