Claudia Anderson

Claudia Anderson died unexpectedly at her home in Morris on January 4, 2010.

Claudia Christian Anderson was born in St. Louis Park , MN to Myron and Sally (Hanson) Anderson on January 15, 1966. She lived in Minnetonka , MN until age 4 when she moved with her family to Morris , MN . She had a happy childhood and loved living next door to Lisa and Linda Cain. Music was important to her and she took piano lessons and played the flute in the band. At age 3 she developed juvenile diabetes and over the years suffered complications.

When she was 18, she and Gary Parson were married and lived in rural Cyrus , MN . After the marriage ended she moved to St. Cloud , MN . From there she lived at Artichoke Lake and Morris , MN . She worked as a clerk and as a waitress.

She loved music, animals and nature, friends and family. She was interested in social issues and politics. She loved board games and cards and anything funny, as she loved to laugh.  She could find humor in almost anything.

She spent much time at the family home on Artichoke Lake . She especially loved when family members gathered for Christmas and other holidays.

She moved to Donnelly , MN and lived with John Spohr. Their son was born in MPLS , MN on August 9, 1996. He was named Frederick John Spohr, after his grandfather. He's known by all as "Fritz." Claudia loved him so much.  Fritz was the Joy of her life.

She is survived by her son, Frederick Spohr of Donnelly; parents Myron and Sally Anderson of Appleton; sister, Nora Hanson (Doug Rhoads) of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers: Scott Tollakson of St. Cloud, MN, and Jack (Kay) Tollakson of Morris, MN; grandmother, Eleanor Anderson of Northampton, MA; close friends: Shelley Papesh of Donnelly, MN and Nancy Kisgen of Alberta, MN; her loving companian, Nathan Pederson of Starbuck, MN; and her cat, Sam.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Glenn and Alice Hanson and grandfather, Willard Anderson.

Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.

THE FAMILY WOULD PREFER MEMORIALS TO A TRUST FUND THAT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED FOR CLAUDIA'S SON, FRITZ SPOHR AT THE UNITED FARMERS AND MERCHANTS STATE BANK IN DONNELLY AND MORRIS.
