Colleen Anderson Oachs

There will be a visitation for Colleen Anderson Oachs of Herman, MN on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 3 to 5 p.m., with a prayer service and time of sharing at 5:00 at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Burial will be in St. Theresia's Catholic Cemetery in Donnelly.

Colleen Beth Anderson, daughter of Richard and Shirley (Behl), was born March 14, 1965 in Morris, Minnesota. She grew up on a farm one mile west of Donnelly and was baptized and confirmed at St. Theresia’s Catholic Church in Donnelly. Colleen attended and graduated from Morris Area High School in 1983. For a short-time she continued her education in Willmar, before returning to Donnelly for a couple years. She then moved to Herman, where she worked at Park Manufacturing for a short time and then began working at the Herman Bar, where she met the love of her life, Mike Bertram. The couple has continued to live in Herman since that time.

Colleen enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, cooking, football parties at the Shop, going to Mexico and the MN Vikings and MN Twins. She would always have treats for the kids when they visited. She especially enjoyed spending time at the lake with friends and family.

Colleen died at her home in Herman, MN on Thursday, August 22, 2019. She was 54 years old.

She is survived by her partner: Mike Bertram of Herman; her mom: Shirley Anderson of Morris; siblings: Kathy (John) Ellenbecker of St. Cloud, Mark Anderson of Donnelly, Sharon Anderson of Morris and Mary (Mike) Stahn of Morris and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard L. Anderson; sister and brother-in-law: Jeanne and Jerry Lesmeister and Mike’s father: Les Bertram.

The family requests everyone wear Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Viking’s or any purple apparel for the visitation. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to Stevens County Humane Society or charity of your choice.
