Daniel Logan

The funeral mass for Daniel W. “Boone” Logan, of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church. Celebrant for the funeral mass will be Father Todd Schneider. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Pedersen Funeral Home and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery, Morris.

Daniel Wayne “Boone” Logan, son of Kenneth and Catherine (Sauter) Logan was born on September 19, 1958 in Morris, Minnesota. He grew up and attended school in Chokio, Minnesota until the age of 13; the family then moved to Morris where Boone graduated from Morris Area High School in 1977. He then attended Willmar Vocational College for auto mechanics. Boone returned to Morris and worked for Trademark Homes. He also worked several years for Roart Plastics, before working alongside his brother’s as a roofer for Logan Roofing Company. The last 10 years, Boone enjoyed studying many subjects: Christianity, family genealogy, the City of Morris, and the history of the railroad.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, doing yard work, and gardening. Boone will be missed by his nieces and nephews and a large host of friends.

Boone died on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at the Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, Minnesota, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 59 years old.

He is survived by his mother: Catherine Logan, Morris; his siblings: Joseph (Sharon) Logan, Sioux Falls, SD, Stanley Logan, Morris, MN, Debra Brustuen, Alexandria, MN, Robert (Kelly) Logan, Cheyenne, WY, William Logan, Morris, MN and Christopher Logan, Alexandria, MN. Boone was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, step-father, Robert Whelan, and two brothers, Larry and Ronald Logan.
