Debra 'Debby' Louise Stark

Debra (“Debby”) Louise Stark of Morris, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on April 20, 2026 at the age of 73. She was born on November 14, 1952 to Bruce and Louise (DaSheill) Stark in Duluth, Minnesota.

After graduating from Hibbing High School, she experienced life living on Minnesota’s Iron Range, in California, Missouri and finally in Morris, Minnesota. She had numerous jobs working in the mines on the Iron Range, as a bank teller, helping run a care center, working retail, doing cleaning work and caring for her parents.

Some of her best memories were of time at her family’s summer cabin on Burnt Shanty, a lake in northern Minnesota; taking a trip to Alaska with her grandmother, Emma Stark; visiting her relatives in Maryland; and of time with friends and family.

She loved nature; doing crafts; playing games; gardening; music; and, of course, the many dogs she had during her life.

She will be remembered for the number of lives she impacted and her efforts to bring changes she felt were right to her community.

She is survived by her mother, Louise Stark; brother, Rick (Debby) Stark; son, Jason (Lynnae) Lina; and her grandson, Oscar Lina. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Stark.

It was not Debby’s wishes that any service be held for her—she hated things like that—but she likely would not mind at all if you remembered her in your quiet contemplations in nature and when you plant flowers.

Oh, and pet your dog for her!
