Dennis Robert Joos, son of Gottlieb and Edith (Nohl) Joos, was born on September 22, 1956 in Morris, MN. He grew up on a farm in rural Hancock.  Dennis was baptized at the Apostolic Christian Church on July 28, 1985.  He lived with his parents on their farm until 1996, later moving to Hancock with his father and sister until October 10, 2016.  Due to Dennis’s declining health, he became a resident of Julia’s Place – Adult Day Services and Foster Care for the Elderly in Hancock where he continued to live until the time of his death.

Dennis was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church.  He enjoyed fishing, taking care of his chickens and gathering eggs, mowing lawn, helping on the farm, going for walks and reading magazines.  Most of all, Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family.

Dennis died Saturday, October 21, 2017 surrounded by family and his caregiver Julia Conroy at Julia’s Place in Hancock.  He was 61 years old.

He is survived by four siblings: Marilyn Joos of Hancock, Harvey (Debra) Joos of Hancock, Gary (Lorrie) Joos of Hancock and Kathleen Kloehn of Alexandria; nine nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
