Funeral services for Eunice Lemmerman of Chokio, MN will be Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio, with Reverend Gloria Anderson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio and for one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in Chokio Lutheran Cemetery, Chokio.

Eunice Delores Nelson, daughter of Hartman and Hedwig (Henneberg) Nelson, was born June 8, 1924 in Bellingham, Minnesota. She moved with her parents to Graceville in 1930, and was confirmed at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in 1938. Eunice graduated from Graceville High School in 1942. Following her schooling, she worked at Red Owl Grocery Store and later moved to Chicago where she worked as a typist at The Western Union Telegraph Company. Eunice then moved to Minneapolis and worked in the office of Shuron Optical Company. In October 1945, she was united in marriage to Herman Paul Krieg at Mt. Olive Church in Graceville. To this union three children were born: Curtis Lee in 1946, Kathe Kae in 1948 and Larry Dean in 1949. The family made their home on the Krieg Family farm west of Chokio. On December 12, 1957, Herman died in an automobile accident. Eunice later married Elmer Lemmerman on August 26, 1961 and moved to the Alberta area. They had one son: Wayne Allen. Elmer died on December 1, 1994.

Eunice was an active member of the Baker Homemakers for over 60 years, the Our Savior's Women and an adult 4-H leader in both Baker and Scott 4-H clubs. She was also a founding member of the Till and Tell Garden Club. Eunice loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and saw beauty in all living things. She was a great mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family members remember her as a wonderful cook and baker. She enjoyed all outdoor activities and sports, especially the Minnesota Twins. She never turned down the opportunity to play cards even in the nursing home. Eunice was a resident of Essentia Grace Home in Graceville since August 2008. She loved all the activities and staff at Grace Home.

Eunice died on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Essentia Grace Home in Graceville, MN. She lived to 91 years.

Eunice is survived by three sons: Curtis (Janet) Krieg of Springfield, Larry (Nancy) Krieg of Elk River and Wayne (Shellie) Lemmerman of Alberta; one daughter: Kathe "Kae" (William) Lyndsley of Chokio; nine grandchildren: Molly (Brent) Augustin, Alisa Krieg (Dustin Schipper), Sarah (Brandon) Walter, Andrew Krieg, Michael Lyndsley (Kirsten Holmquist), Kelly Krieg, Joe Krieg, Samantha and Jessica Lemmerman and eight great-grandchildren: Austin and Abigail Augustin, Carly Krieg, Riley, Greyson and Miles Tomaszewski and Aubrey and Brynn Walter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Herman Krieg and Elmer Lemmerman; three brothers and five sisters.
