Jason Guy Zeltwanger

Funeral services for Jason Zeltwanger, of Hancock, will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Hancock with Pastor Julius Miller officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning until the time of the service. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.

Jason Guy Zeltwanger was born on August 12, 1976, the only son to Duane and Sandra (Boon) Zeltwanger in Morris, Minnesota.   Jason was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Hancock.  He received his education at Hancock schools, graduating with the class of 1994.  Following high school, he went on to Fergus Falls Community College where he also played baseball.  After college, Jason returned to Hancock to farm with his Dad. Jason learned everything about farming from his Dad and was very particular and took pride in his crops.  Jason was blessed with two sons: Clay and Cole, who he shared with their mother, Nicole Logan.

Jason enjoyed spending time with his boys. They especially loved riding the 4-wheeler and golf cart, camping, and throwing the ball around.  He also coached Clay’s little league team.  Jason spent a lot of time outdoors fishing and hunting.  He was also a great cook, even winning an award his senior year in Home Economics.  

Jason died at home on Friday, December 2, 2022; he was 46 years old.

Jason is survived by his sons: Clay and Cole of Morris; his parents: Duane and Sandy of Hancock; sister, Stephanie Berget of Hancock; nephew, Kody Berget of Hancock; his fiancé and her sons: Val Henrickson, Anthony, Jared, and Landen; Grandma, Carol Nelson of Morris; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his Grandparents: John Boon, Max Nelson, Lowell and Mary Zeltwanger; and brother-in-law, Kerry Berget. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
