Jerry Juergensen

Jerry Lee Juergensen, son of Clarence and Evelyn ( Anderson ) Juergensen, was born July 2, 1950 in Morris , Minnesota , where he grew up and began his schooling. Jerry graduated from Morris High School in 1969. In 1965, he began working part-time for the Morris Public School System and in 1969, he began working full time. He has continued to work at the school since that time. Jerry was a very dedicated employee to the school and his work. On July 1, 1978, he was united in marriage to Laraine Blomgren at First Lutheran Church in Morris. They made their home in rural Morris, with their daughter, Amy Jo and adopted step-children, Christopher and Laurie. While working at the school, Jerry also helped his brother, Jay at his small engine repair shop.





Jerry was a member of First Lutheran Church in Morris. He enjoyed deer and goose hunting, trap shooting and tending to his vegetable garden. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.





Jerry died suddenly of arteriosclerosis on Monday, June 23, 2008 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud , Minnesota , having lived to reach the age of 57 years.





He is survived by his wife: Laraine Juergensen of Morris; one son: Christopher Juergensen of Morris; one daughter: Laurie Juergensen of Morris; his father and mother: Clarence and Evelyn Juergensen of Morris; two brothers: Fred Juergensen of Willmar and Jay (Judy) Juergensen of Morris; one sister: Ruth (Steven) Smith of Pennock; mother-in-law: Velma Blomgren of Morris. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Amy Jo Juergensen and his grandparents.





Pallbearers for the service are: Steven Smith, Bryan Berg, Bradley Berg, Eric Berg, Richard Juergensen and Kurt Juergensen. Honorary pallbearers are all of Jerry’s Co-Workers at Morris Area Schools. Deb Mahoney will serve as organist for the service with Josh Fischer serving as soloist. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
