John Alexander Huber Rodriguez

Memorial services for John Huber Rodriguez, of Wahpeton, North Dakota, formerly of Hancock, will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris with Reverend Micah Tanis officiating.  A visitation will be one hour prior to the services.  Burial will be at a later date at Summit Cemetery in Morris. 

John Alexander Huber Rodriguez was born on July 16, 1975, in Minneapolis, to Francisco and Emilie Huber Rodriguez.  John lived his early childhood in St. Paul, Wahpeton, and Breckinridge.  He later moved with his family to Hancock where he attended school, graduating with the Hancock High School, class of 1993.  Following high school, John attended the University of Minnesota – Duluth.

John loved to be in the outdoors, especially fishing and camping.  He enjoyed reading about history and was interested in all foreign languages.  He was continually working on writing his own book.  John was the happiest in the presence of his family – especially while carving the Thanksgiving turkey.  Memories are shared often of John’s smile and the joy of sharing that time with family. 

John was a remarkably strong and humble man, never considering himself to be above anyone else.  He believed God should be first in all things.  He strongly believed that attending church and reading his bible were important.  He was deeply committed to his family and always made a point to know how his parents and family were doing. 

Our beloved son, brother, and uncle, John, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2022; he was 47 years old.  John is now at peace and rest with his heavenly Father.

John is survived by his parents: Francisco & Emilie; siblings: Caroline Frey, Elizabeth (Damon) Walby, James (Courtney) Huber Rodriguez, Evelyn Huber Rodriguez, and Phillip Huber Rodriguez; nieces and nephews: Ave, Brooke, Annabelle, Emmie, Lilia, Jack, Cora, Leif, Jake, Stella, Luke, and Ruby.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Huber Rodriguez.
