A private burial for Joyce Bogenreif of Morris, MN, formerly of Beardsley, MN, will take place at Mound Cemetery in Ortonville, MN.

Joyce Ann Hills, daughter of Ora and Hazel (Doschadis) Hills, was born on May 31, 1936 in Toqua Township, Big Stone County, near Beardsley, MN, where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Beardsley High School in 1954.
She was united in marriage to Ronald LeRoy Bogenreif on January 28, 1956. They started their life together in Big Stone City, SD. They moved to Milbank, SD for a short time to farm, before making their home in Morris, MN. Joyce worked as a secretary at Morris Junior High in 1967, Morris Senior High in 1968, and later began working for the division of education at the University of Minnesota Morris for 29 years, retiring in 1999. Ronald died June 11, 2002. Joyce continued to live in Morris until the time of her death.
Joyce was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Morris. She loved to decorate her home and play the piano. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was also an excellent cook and seamstress. Above all, she loved her husband and children, being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Joyce passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, April 17, 2020 at her home in Morris. She was 83 years old.
She is survived by five children: Kelly (Bob) Logan of Cheyenne, WY, Lori (Steve) Grossman of Harwood, ND, Janice Bogenreif of Morris, LeRoy Bogenreif of Hancock and Thomas Bogenreif of Grand Forks, ND; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one brother; eight sisters and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; two infant daughters; her parents; four brothers; two sisters and one grandson.
