Judith Bluth

**Judy's family is requesting that no flowers be sent to the memorial service (if one wishes to order flowers, give them to someone alive to enjoy them!), instead, please direct donations to DAC, Historical Society or the Morris Public Library. **

Memorial services for Judith Bluth of Morris, MN will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Morris, with Reverend Matthew Orendorff officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Judy was born in Bemidji, MN, on October 5, 1938, to Ole and Helena (Michaelson) Paulson. She was 4th in a line of 5 girls, Geraldine, Joan, Bernadette, and Claudia, all of whom preceded her in death.

Judy graduated from Bemidji High School in 1956. After High School, she attended Bemidji State University attaining a B.S. It was around this time she met and wed Richard (Dick) Bluth.

The pair moved to Morris in 1963, where Dick built and managed the A & W Drive-In, and Judy began her teaching career. She taught at Morris Elementary School until she retired.

Judy was an avid reader and a constant at the Morris Public Library. If she wasn’t reading a book she was probably working at one of the multiple organizations around town she was involved with. She loved getting together with friends; teacher lunches and Thursday “discussion group” were favorites.

Judy passed away celebrating Thanksgiving with her family on November 27, 2025 at the age of 87.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Dick, and her 4 sisters. She is survived by one son, Willie (Sandy) of Minneapolis, one daughter, Mary (Paul) Kempton of Baxter; 4 grandchildren: Chloe, Noah, Andrew, and Collin; one brother-in-law, Gary (Pat) Bluth of Baxter and many nieces and nephews.
