The funeral for Lillian Heinrich, of Donnelly, Minnesota will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kongsvinger Lutheran Church, near Donnelly, Minnesota, with Reverend Michael Nelson officiating. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Kongsvinger Cemetery, Donnelly.

Lillian Bernice Waller, daughter of August and Anna (Pederson) Waller was born on September 6, 1921, on the family farm near Donnelly, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Kongsvinger Lutheran Church near Donnelly. Lillian attended District #7 country school, through the 8th grade. Lillian was united in marriage to Julius M. Heinrich on September 2, 1941 at the Kongsvinger Parsonage. The couple made their home near Donnelly, where they farmed. For a couple years, Lillian worked at the “Pylin,” the Donnelly Creamery cleaning chickens and also at the Donnelly School as a cook. Lillian always stayed busy working on the farm with Julius and caring for the many animals, gardens and field work. Julius died on November 30, 2006. Lillian became a resident at the West Wind Village in Morris in September of 2018.

Lillian was an active member of Kongsvinger Lutheran Church, serving on the ladies aid, singing in the church choir, and teaching Sunday school. She was a member of the Lucky 13 Homemakers Club, Eagles Club, and the Donnelly Rod and Gun Club. Lillian enjoyed spending many hours quilting, and spending hours at the church. Her gardening and baking talents were abundant. Lillian was also known for her doughnuts, winning a grand champion at the Stevens County Fair.

Lillian died on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at the West Wind Village in Morris. She was 97 years old.

She is survived by two children: Karen Anderson, Alexandria, MN and Scott (Beth) Heinrich, Morris, MN; one daughter-in-law: Sharon Heinrich, Mesa, AZ; seven grandchildren: Michael (Melinda) Anderson and Kari (Ben) Doege, all of Alexandria, MN, Jason (Karisa) Heinrich, Underwood, MN, Amie Wollin, New Prague, MN, Blake Heinrich and Jena (James) Burrow, all of Morris, MN and Mitchell Heinrich, Alexandria, MN; nine great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandson. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, David Heinrich, her siblings, Hazel (Charlie) Pederson, Hiram (May) Waller, Ray (Gladys) Waller, Orville (Mayme) Waller, Cora (Bob) Anderson, Clarence (Leona) Waller and Paul Waller, and her in-laws, Fred and Ann (Hickman) Heinrich.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials are given to a charity of your choice.
