Memorial services for Ross Lundell of Alexandria, formerly of Starbuck, Minnesota, will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck with a visitation beginning one hour prior to the services at the church. Reverend Paul Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Fron Cemetery, rural Starbuck.
Ross Fredrick Lundell, son of Russell and Jeanne (Anderson) Lundell, was born March 27, 1967 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. At a young age, the family moved to Starbuck, Minnesota where Ross grew up and attended school, graduating from Starbuck High School in 1985. Following graduation, Ross attended St. Cloud Technical and Community College where he received an associate’s degree in drafting and engineering, later working in Glenwood and Alexandria.
Ross was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, gardening, cooking, canning, and in his earlier years playing basketball. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love for his pet dogs and cats. Ross adored his nieces and loved following their sports and watching them grow up. Fishing trips took Ross to Alaska, Canada, Missouri, and all over Minnesota. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Ross passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, Minnesota. He was 56 years old.
He is survived by one sister: Jodi (Steve) Melsness of Plymouth; two nieces: Sophia and Emme Melsness, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
