DeWayne Nohl

Funeral services for DeWayne Nohl will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in rural Hancock.  A visitation will be on Monday at Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday.  Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Faith Cemetery.

DeWayne Allen Nohl was born on September 16, 1946, to Alvin and Minnie (Messner) Nohl in Morris, MN. He was raised in Hancock where he attended Hancock Public School, graduating in 1964. On April 21, 1968, DeWayne was baptized at the Apostolic Christian Church. He was united in marriage to Janice Mogler on August 29, 1976, in Lester, IA. To this union, seven children were born. DeWayne farmed with his brothers and sons and later enjoyed excavating projects and wood working.

DeWayne was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Hancock; his salvation was very important to him. He had a love of music and enjoyed singing. He liked to spend time and work with his children and grandchildren.

DeWayne passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 12, 2022.  He was 75 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Janice of Hancock; his children: Jon (Sally) Nohl of Hancock, Cindy (Bob) Domnick of Congerville, IL, Gary (Heidi) Nohl of Hancock, Susie (Brent) Wulf of Hancock, Kevin (Serenity) Nohl of Lexington, IL, Michael (Jodi) Nohl of Sabetha, KS, and Sara (Nathaniel) Craig  of Congerville, IL; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings: Art (Sandra) Nohl of Hancock, Robert (Marilyn) Nohl of Hancock, Jeanette Huber of Hancock, and Alvin Jr. (Kathy) Nohl of Cochran, MN.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Minnie; and brother-in-law, Sam Huber.
