Delores Harriet was born in Hancock on July 16, 1918 the daughter of Charles and Esther (Estenson) Agar.  She was baptized and confirmed at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hancock.  Some pastimes growing up were being chased by the buck sheep, riding her horse Cherry, and reading.  She graduated from Hancock High School in 1936.  In school she enjoyed playing basketball, and being in the Glee Club.  After graduation, Delores worked at a clothing store in Hancock until she was united in marriage on March 8, 1940 to Clarence Henry Rose. They enjoyed going to the county fair and watching the horse races.  They were blessed with five children.  They enjoyed going to Florida and camping in retirement years.  Delores belonged to Ladies Aid at church and Homemakers Club.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, making our family hotdish, and lemon meringue pie for the 4th of July.  After raising their family and retiring from farming, they moved to Hancock in 1978. Her husband Clarence passed away in 1984. She enjoyed traveling and went to Germany and London, but most of all she loved just being with family. In 2010 Delores moved to Skyview Plaza in Morris.

Delores passed away, Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Knute Nelson Home in Alexandria. She was 101 years old. We will treasure the memories and legacy of love she leaves behind.
