Lyla Jane (Christiansen) Cin was born on January 23, 1930 in Morris, Minnesota to Edwin and Iva (Mullins) Christiansen and grew up on the farm.  She graduated from Alberta High School and was very active in scholastics, cheerleading and plays.  She graduated from Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1951.  Lyla and Leslie Cin were united in marriage on her birthday, January 23, 1953.  As well as working at the Stevens County Memorial hospital as the in-charge registered nurse, she and Leslie were partners in all they did from farming to raising their 6 children: Lorayne, Loren, Donavon, Myrna, Jennifer, and Melody.  In her later years, she became the owner of Morris Drapery Business for 10 years creating many beautiful window treatments.

Lyla’s greatest love was to spend time with her family (husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren) as well as with all her relatives and church family sharing joy and laughter.  Many experienced her hospitality and warmth using her many talents and gifts to help others in nursing, church activities, and community support.  She was Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, and Board Member of her church in Alberta helping so many to come to know the Lord. She and Les hosted many youth parties at the Cin ranch. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and the evidence of her strong faith was apparent and abounding.

Lyla went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Saturday Feb 13, 2021 at the Glenwood Retirement Village in Glenwood, Minnesota.

Lyla is survived by her husband, Les of Glenwood; children:  Lorayne (Scott) Bezinque of Olathe, KS, Loren Cin of Goodyear, AZ, Donovan (Kimberly) Cin of Springhill, KS, Myrna (Russell) Palmer of Olathe, KS, Jennifer (Mark) Rognlin of Phoenix, AZ, and Melody (David) Varnum of Chokio, MN; grandchildren: Rachel (Nicholas) Torani, Jason Bezinque,  Amanda (Kody) Krautkremer, Holly (Michael) Kolden, Madeline (Jason) Skibicki, Sarah (Blair) Punt, Lewis (Brianna) Varnum, Emily (Jake) Braaten, Britney (Gus) Cin, Michelle (Mason) Matthes, Cole Cin, Hunter Cin, and Alexis Cin; great grandchildren: Ashton Rognlin, Lilyana Kolden, Michael Kolden, Gracelynn Rognlin, Gavin Skibicki, Ryker Wiggin, Grainger Skibicki, Charlotte Torani, Flip Krautkremer, Lyla Skibicki, and Liam Punt; and her brother: Lyle Christiansen.  Lyla was preceded by her parents, brothers: Oliver and Kenneth, and grandson: Derek Rognlin.
